George Mason University’s Veterans and the Arts Initiative Offering Free Ukulele Workshops for Veterans

Have you always wanted to try the ukulele? Musicians of all skill levels are invited to participate in a four-week series of virtual lessons with Glen McCarthy, guitar instructor at George Mason University. These teleworkshops will take place Tuesday evenings, and are free to veterans, servicemembers, their families, and military caregivers – as well as to current healthcare workers. The Veteran and the Arts Initiative is led by  School of Kinesiology Professor Jatin Ambegaonkar, Holly Matto in the College of Health and Human Services and Niyati Dhokai of the College of Visual and Performing Arts.

Every Tuesday, Feb. 9-March 2, 2021
Level I Workshop: 7-7:45 p.m. (EST)
Level II Workshop: 8-8:45 p.m. (EST)

Participants must pre-register.
